Azarov instructed to create a single state program of energy efficiency

There is another actual precedent for the practical implementation of the course on energy efficiency, which has long been declared by government officials. European experience has long been used as the basic approach to planning standards in construction and energy can be seen in the creation of a unified state program of energy efficiency.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov instructed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry to create such a program. He stated this during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to Prime Minister over 70 million tons of fuel equivalent are spent annually for heating of the housing stock. That is 1,4 tons per a citizen, which is 2-3 times more than in the European Community.

"Therefore, it is time to reconsider our approaches, to give up what "stalls" and focus on successful solutions. I assign the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Energy to summarize the results of energy efficiency programs and to create a modernized, single national program" - Azarov said.

The Termodom system as a technology for construction of initially energy efficient housing can become one of the most significant in this process. The energy efficiency indicators which are demonstrated by buildings already built by this technology in Ukraine meet all modern world energy saving standards.

In 2011, Ukraine saved 1.6 billion cubic meters of gas through the implementation of energy efficiency programs.
