Advantages of the Thermohouse technology

Modern Technology

Thermohome is a new twist in the development of monolithic house-building.

Thermohome is an insulated monolithic reinforced concrete house.

Concrete is a traditional material of unquestionable strength and reliability, and polystyrene foam is a perfect insulator. Combination of these characteristics made it possible to create an effective and advantageous construction technology - Termodom, which has a number of advantages both for builders and customers. It is used wherever a house must be durable, reliable and thorough - in a word, for centuries.

Harmless home

Styrofoam has been widely and long used in construction. It is absolutely harmless, environmentally friendly, does not emit any substances harmful to humans and their surroundings. According to health regulations expanded polystyrene may come in contact with food without pre-treatment. It is used to make disposable tableware, packaging for fruits and vegetables.

It is used to transport and store frozen fish and meat. Thus it does not create a breeding ground for fungi and bacteria, is not subject to decomposition under the influence of microorganisms and has no limited shelf life. In addition, polystyrene foam also, like wood, has the ability to "breathe", ie slowly let the air pass through.

Reliable House

The construction technology of Thermodom refers to the monolithic reinforced concrete house. When erecting walls of thermoblocks, before the concrete is poured, reinforcement is placed in the blocks.

The reinforcement pitch and diameter is calculated during the design of a building, depending on the number of stories and the loads on the walls. The pouring of concrete into the interior, due to the design of the blocks, takes place both vertically and horizontally, forming a kind of monolithic concrete grid. The reinforced concrete walls we get can easily withstand the concrete slabs of large sizes and correspondingly large weights used in the construction of industrial buildings.

Thermohome

Reliability of the walls does not cause any doubts - hammered into the wall dowel withstands the load of 70-80 kg, which allows you to solve the problem of hanging cabinets etc. without any problems.

PSV-C polystyrene, which does not combust and does not support combustion, is used in the production of thermoblocks.

Polystyrene foam is highly resistant to a variety of substances, including seawater, saline solutions, anhydride, alkalis, diluted and weak acids, soaps, salts, fertilizers, bitumen, silicone oils, alcohols, adhesives, water-soluble paints. It is inert towards inorganic construction materials - concrete, lime, cement, gypsum, sand, etc. PSV-C does not dissolve and does not swell in water, practically does not absorb moisture, is durable and resistant to rotting. Products made of polystyrene foam are resistant to aging and retain stable properties, shape and size for a long time if used properly, i.e. it is a durable material.

Today, there is evidence of field observation and expert opinion of the company "Stottmeister Ltd", examined samples of foamed polystyrene of BASF, placed on the facade of a high-rise building in Feldkirch (Germany) in 1969. These studies prove that the material, put in the construction more than 30 years ago, has not been subjected to irreversible changes (size of the boards, for example, due to shrinkage or compression, etc.).

In addition, the laboratory NIISF in Moscow conducted durability studies and the necessary tests on the polystyrene foam to analyze the characteristic cyclical changes in outdoor temperatures in the annual cycle for the climatic conditions of the middle belt of Russia.

In a climatic chamber was simulated temperature-humidity effects on the fragments of structures, which have foamed polystyrene. A total of 80 cycles of testing samples of expanded polystyrene boards were carried out. Laboratory staff have reached the following conclusions: the expanded polystyrene boards successfully passed the cyclic tests for temperature and humidity effects in the amount of 80 cycles.

This can be interpreted as the corresponding number of conditional years of operation in multilayered building envelopes with an amplitude of temperature effects ± 40 ° C.

Thermohome

A cost-effective home

The construction technology of Termodom has a number of economic benefits compared to traditional methods of construction of buildings.

This is based on the following characteristics:

  • simplification of the process and reduction of construction time;
  • a significant reduction in the list of necessary materials and equipment. Cranes and dump trucks are not needed for the construction of cottages. A team of three to four workers erects the walls of a floor in four to five days.
  • with all its strength, the walls in Termodome are much lighter than the walls made in traditional technologies. For comparison, a square meter of standard brick wall weighs 960 kg, a square meter of poured blocks weighs 360 kg. This allows the use of lightweight foundations. The consumption of cement is also lower compared to conventional brickwork
  • it is possible to build in the winter - the properties of polystyrene foam are practically unaffected by the weather. Thermoblock serves as a kind of a thermos for concrete and reliably protects it from frost, and the use of additives in concrete eliminates the need to link plans with the construction season and allows you to build in cold weather, except during winter when ambient temperature is below -25 ° C
  • low initial costs for training and education

And it is only at the construction stage. Subsequently, the exceptional thermal insulation effect of expanded polystyrene allows you to significantly reduce costs for heating and air conditioning of the premises.

In terms of thermal conductivity the wall made of thermoblocks is equal to a brick wall that is 1800 mm thick or a concrete wall that is 2500 mm thick. The cost of equipment for heating such a house is much lower, because we do not need to heat the walls, but only the air inside the house. Such a house will warm its owner in the winter cold, and in the summer will provide a pleasant coolness.

Spacious house

Walls of thermal blocks are almost twice thinner than standard brick ones. On account of that inner space of a house expands. For example, when erecting a house 10×10 m, with the same outer dimensions of the building we can get up to 15 m² of additional area.

Comfortable house

No matter what climate conditions you live in, you will always be comfortable in a thermo house - it is cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather. In addition, thanks to the sound-absorbing qualities of polystyrene, the walls built of thermoblocks allow you to eliminate the impact of city noise on the residents and reduce the volume of sound by 53dB. (For reference: the whispering has a volume of 10 dB, conversation in high tones - 40, sounds of a busy intersection 60-70, low-flying jet aircraft - 110 dB).

If previously this required a labor-intensive operation of sticking the material on a concrete or brick wall, now the insulation is a component of the wall itself. And recent studies conducted abroad have proven: the material does not transmit radioactive radiation and significantly weakens the effect of electromagnetic fields - you just will not feel the so-called magnetic storms!

Beautiful house

The plasticity of polystyrene allows you to realize almost any, the most incredible fantasy. Its uniqueness is such that, using standard blocks, you can effectively create any architectural forms.

Termodome can have walls and openings of any configuration. If you need to make a wall turn not at a 90-degree angle, the thermoblock can easily be cut to the right angle with a regular hacksaw right at the construction site.

The boldest creative ideas can become a reality. And instead of heavy bulky structures there will be light elegant details of building decoration. The erection of buildings using the Thermodome system does not require a powerful construction site, so if necessary, it is possible to preserve all the landscape features of the site.
