Imports of construction materials exceeded exports by 2.1 billion UAH

Today, more than 80% of building materials, products and structures that are used in the construction industry are the products of domestic producers. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Regional Development Anatoliy Bliznyuk.

According to him, in the first half of this year, imports of construction materials exceeded exports by 2.1 billion UAH, which is equal to the indicator that was achieved for the whole year 2010. For 10 months this index rose even more and exceeds 3,0 billion UAH.

In addition, the use of foreign building materials in the vast majority is associated not with the lack of analogues in the Ukrainian market, but with their cost and properties, which is also due to inadequate advertising of domestic products. As an example I can mention steel structures for construction, which are exported and imported for more than 1.0 billion UAH.
